KEY ART, BRANDING & CAMPAIGN

Bethesda Softworks:
Fallout 76 “Nuclear Winter”

"Nuclear Winter" was an all-new, 50-player PvP game mode for Fallout 76. It offered a unique take on the "Battle Royale" genre by integrating core Fallout RPG elements, like character customization (PERK cards, SPECIAL), a slower pace, and PvE elements (AI enemies like Deathclaws). Players scavenged for resources, utilized unique mechanics (buildable CAMPs, limited nukes), and battled both each other and the environment in a shrinking play zone, all vying to be the last survivor and become Overseer of Vault 51.

Key art: Nuclear Winter

The objective was to create key art for the new game mode, "Nuclear Winter." The core directive was to emphasize the game mode's distinct "Fallout/RPG" identity over traditional Battle Royale tropes. The art needed to align with Fallout 76's post-launch design system and prominently feature Vault Boy, conveying that "Nuclear Winter" was first and foremost a true Fallout experience
