Fallout 76 “Nuclear Winter”
"Nuclear Winter" was an all-new, PvP game mode for Fallout 76. It offered a unique take on the "Battle Royale" genre by integrating core Fallout RPG elements. Players battled both each other and the environment in a shrinking play zone, ring of fire, all vying to be the last survivor and become Overseer of Vault 51. We partnered with Bethesda Softworks for the marketing of this new game mode.
The processOur biggest challenge was capturing everything the client wanted to showcase in a single piece of art that could flex across multiple formats and crops. I collaborated with our in-house illustrator and another designer to develop concepts that conveyed the core idea while leaving room for fan-friendly easter eggs, refining the work to higher fidelity with each round of iteration.
