Wolfenstein II: New Colossus
After Wolfenstein: The New Order rebooted the storied franchise with a Nazi hunt through an alternate-history 1960s Europe, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus brought the over-the-top action and cinematic storytelling to Nazi-occupied America.
“Germericana”
To launch the game, we seized upon the setting, creating “Germericana”—the bizarre and unsettling melding of Americana with Nazi-German overtones.
The centerpiece of the integrated campaign was a series of darkly comedic live-action shorts that glimpsed into the world of Wolfenstein’s Nazi-occupied America. Inspired by 1960s television, each short twisted familiar period tropes with the darkness of Nazi-fication, from golly-gee-sitcoms to game shows and superhero dramas. We carried the theme beyond the shorts into a series of heart-pounding game trailers, social content program, and the collector’s edition.
The Germericana campaign beat online conversation KPIs and drove millions of views across the campaign content, while the team’s work for the collector’s edition went on to earn a Grand Clio.
